Since most of the cards of this deck are trash, the main goal of this deck is to throw them into garbage AKA graveyard.


This deck needs to thin for 8 and has only 8 thinners (9 with stratagem). In some games, you might need to use Compass twice because of that. If you want to improve consistency, replace the bears with a Brokvar warrior and a second Skald.


This deck relies on winning R1 with massive tempo, bleeding ideally to 0 cards R3, then playing massive pointslam again R3.


Your ideal play is last say 2x+2 (Renfri add 2 and increase boost by base power) Regis:Bloodlust for 40 points combined with "boost lowest unit power to 10". HOWEVER, using Runemage and Renfri effectively is what wins you the game - Renfri can clear 2 or more engines, pointslam as previously mentioned, get you +4 per pass carryover, +1 per turn when leader not used (or that even/odd boost) pseudo-engine etc. You can also get yourself another thin via Spawn stratagems if you really need it.


As you play, you will discover neat tricks, like the fact that Seagull that procs 3 times (his own ability) also procs each boat 3 times (each Seagull appearing in graveyard=entering graveyard in this case). Also, if you want, you can include 2 more thinners in form of 2nd Skald as aforementioned and Derran, with which you can possibly plan "second phase" compass twice: You thin to two R2, play Compass, then R3 you draw the echoed Compass and remaining 2 cards, and you can play the "Create any legendary not in starting deck" Compass twice without milling yourself.


Finally: be careful not to overcommit! I've been known to play R1 "perfectly" with like 2 boats, Coral into Birna with Roach and Knickers coming out etc. for like 60 points, and then having to play my weaker cards Udalryk for an unsuccessful bleed R2.
