I discovered that Cat Mentor buffs each time Saber-tooth Tiger transforms, making it a 2-point-per-turn engine on/after adrenaline 4. This deck exploits that interaction, playing Renew to play Tiger in 2 rounds and location for a third Mentor.
The deck also plays Gaetan, Mentor's other busted interaction. Play your Mentors to the far left of the row, then when you play Gaetan they buff for each card moved after them—which can be a huge point swing.
It's wild to me that Mentor isn't more meta, it's a very powerful card for its cost.
This deck has several bricks, so be careful with mulligans. Playing Novigradian Justice with so few dwarves is risky, you're often relying on Pyrotech sticking. Renew can replay Figgis if you are stuck with no dwarves to pull off the Justice.
It's quite possible this deck would be better with Gezras instead of Renew, but I wanted to present something more unexpected, to emphasise the power of the Mentor.
About me: I am a pro-rank player, having played the game since Crimson Curse expansion. I am often kicking about Reddit and Twitch chat, so you might have seen me there. Let me know if you like the deck, and please give it an upvote! Thanks my friends.
