Reading through Gwent Reddit last month I've seen some complaints on Self-wound Svalblod getting overnerfed and becoming unplayed. While indeed there are more popular Skellige decks, like Warriors, Renfri Beasts or recently SK Witchers to mention a few, the power level is still there. Self-wound is just a bit harder to play.
I climbed to 2616 fMMR from ~2550 with +13 -1 score. List is loosely inspired by what I've seen played by the legend Ilovebears, who is currently at 2701 peak.
General gameplan is to pass Round 1 at 7 cards and defend the bleed because usually you don't have playable enough Round 1 hand. That being said the plan can be switched sometimes depending on R1 hand and matchup.
Wyvern Scale Shield can provide protection and a good Knut target; it is a extra target for discard.
