Unit-Less Monster Deck Guide – Gwent

This deck revolves around Deathwish effects in the early rounds and a devastating special card-focused strategy in the final round. Since it runs almost no units, it avoids many opponent interactions while maximizing destruction.

---

Round 1: Deck Thinning & Deathwish Setup

If going first, start with Brewess: Ritual, which summons two random bronze Deathwish units from your deck. Use Urn of Shadows stratagem to trigger Brewess’ Deathwish immediately, accelerating deck thinning.

Next, consume Brewess again using cards like Kayran, Giant Toad, Siren, or Endrega Warrior to bring out four Deathwish units and trigger their effects. This provides strong tempo while reducing the number of bricks in later rounds.

Round 3: The Special Card Barrage

With no units in play, you can fully exploit powerful control spells:

Scorch – Destroys the highest-power unit (always an opponent’s).

Predatory Dive – Removes the lowest-power unit (affecting only the enemy).

Mastercrafted Spear – Applies constant pressure with damage over time.

Blizzard – Further disrupts the opponent’s strategy.

If Frightener: Dormant is in hand, play it as the fourth card from last. Then, follow up with Dettlaff: Higher Vampire, consuming him with your leader ability, since he revives twice, creating additional value and damage output.
